My Story.Oh! There you are!!! I didn’t see you there! *wipes off potato crumbs onto my jeans* I haven’t officially introduced myself! Silly me. I’m Rachel, the CEO of Rachel’s Book Reviews. I’m guessing you took a pit stop at this page because you wanted to know a little bit more about who you are trusting to tell you whether or not you’ll like a book.
Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I was born in Florida (USA) but was mostly raised in North Carolina (also USA). Then my family moved to be Christian Missionaries to a closed (restricted) country in Northern Asia. (^Closed, or restricted simply means that the country’s government is not open to the sharing of the Christian faith, or that Christianity is illegal) I spent two and a half years in Northern Asia before moving back to the US to live with family in Georgia. I graduated high school (class 2019), and decided to spread my wings and fly far from the nest to attend Southeastern University, but then after I left the nest I desperately wanted to go back to it, so now I am transferring to Dalton State College! So now I am back home in Georgia. I’m a young adult/college student and you can trust me!!! I promise to always give 100% honest reviews. I do partner with publishers and authors, but always with the understanding that I will be posting my honest thoughts. I don’t accept payments for good reviews, I only accept publishers and authors sending me hard copies through the mail to read and honestly review. So again I declare emphatically, YOU CAN TRUST ME! |
From The Beggining |
Plans For The Future |
I gained an interest in book blogging or book reviewing from Instagram and Pinterest when I saw beautiful pictures or themed accounts with just jaw dropping pictures. I tried taking some book pictures (with limited success) and posted my own book pictures on Instagram ...on my personal account. From there I figured out that reviewing books is something I am interested in so I started this website and built corresponding social media pages for it so you guys can effortlessly know what’s going on here at Rachel’s Book Reviews.

In the future I would like to partner with bigger publishers and authors. I would like to upgrade my website (which costs money) so that I can have a section with exclusive content that I can post for subscribers (instead of emailing them the exclusive content like I am currently doing). I’d like to maybe even add a podcast element to all of this. But we shall see where book blogging takes me and I’ll let you guys know of any future changes!
If you are a publisher or an author I would love to work with you (please understand I can’t pay for anything, I’m a broke college student, so partnering with me would be you sending me your book - or book box- for me to read and review cost free). Please go to the contact page to get in touch with me to see about making that happen! |
